This Squash Camp is for junior players between the ages of 9 and 18, and offers a fantastic opportunity to learn about competitive squash from world-class coaches while being immersed in the most creative academic environment in the world — Cambridge, Massachusetts, home of MIT and Harvard University.
We will identify the needs of all campers and give them the tools needed to improve and propel them to the next level.
Campers will also enjoy the beautiful MIT facilities with 6 air-conditioned, world-class ASB squash courts, an indoor track + fitness area.
We will emphasize the global approach that made the Frenchman Thierry Lincou the first player from a non-English speaking country (Commonwealth countries) to reach the World Number #1 ranking (2004-2005) and to win the World Championships (2004).
During our camp's talks and practices, we will be focusing on the four components of Lincou's holistic approach to squash :

1. TECHNICALball control, specific swings, consistency, variation, deception, targets…
2. PHYSICAL speed, endurance, balance, agility, footwork, ghosting, plyometrics, flexibility…
3. TACTICALperception, reading, prediction, anticipation, paces, shot selection, strategies…
4. MENTALIntentionality, determination, focus, visualization, positive mindset, breathing, inner talk…
